PERK Garden Party Success!

What an incredible night! We were blown away by the support, love, and camaraderie we felt during the PERK Garden Party Fundraiser. PERK friends, supporters and guests enjoyed a memorable evening on September 14th, with our outstanding guest speaker Dr. Pierre Kory.

Dr. Kory discussed his new book "The War on Ivermectin” and his crusade to recommend a safe, inexpensive, generic medicine as the key to ending the pandemic. You can purchase the book here.

Event Emcee, PragerU personality Aldo Buttazzoni, was an excellent host who helped us honor Filmmaker Mikki Willis and Captain Cristian Granucci. Other special guests included Dr. Mark McDonald and Dr. Judy Mikovits!

We would like to extend a special thank you to our Gold Sponsor, Laura Dunn, for her generosity in supporting PERK’s Garden Party. Laura Dunn’s sponsorship allowed us the opportunity to fill 2 tables to full capacity with First Responders. PERK honored them for their heroic defense of our communities and freedoms. Theses firefighters, including Fire Fighters for Freedom representatives, offered their unique support in honor of our guest speaker, Fire Captain Christian Granucci, as he was given an award and shared his story for the first time.

We also offer gratitude to the Tash Family and the gorgeous Eden Gardens setting. Guests loved the impromptu collaboration from Melissa aka Baethoven, our violinist, and Deepak Ramapriyan during their rendition of “Stand By Me”. Thank you to our Silver Sponsor Spencer and Alison Gordon and Rhonda Finby. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

With appreciation for the evening's generous contributions, we raised over $367,000 in donations directly to PERK. Thanks to all who made this possible. We are so grateful!  This movement is powered by people. It’s amazing what we can do together when we join forces toward a common cause.

Thank you for your generosity and support.

AB 957 has been vetoed. We are winning!

The PERK Advocacy team is glad to share that we had a productive meeting with the Governor's office on Friday, September 22nd. We cannot express our gratitude enough for your unwavering support in making calls and taking action to rally behind our efforts at the Capitol. It is thanks to your dedication that we were able to achieve a resounding success. In a highly significant turn of events, Governor Newsom firmly rejected AB 957 on Friday evening. This decision not only halted the advancement of AB 957, but also effectively put a stop to the progress of SB 599, which heavily relied on the approval of AB 957 to move forward. We are immensely grateful for the impact we made together, and we look forward to what lies ahead on our path to enact positive change.

AB 957 has been rejected by the Governor.

This also ends SB 599 because it relied on AB 957 being approved.

Please continue to work diligently and help us move forward by contacting the Governor's office and utilizing our action campaign links to request a veto on other bills that affect parents. Your active involvement in this matter is crucial for protecting the rights and interests of parents across our community. Together, we can make a significant impact and ensure that our voices are heard by the policymakers. By reaching out to the Governor's office and engaging in our action campaign, we can emphasize the importance of addressing bills that may have unintended consequences for parents and advocate for changes that will positively impact families. Your dedication and commitment to this cause are greatly appreciated, and we encourage you to spread the word among your friends and family, as the more people involved, the stronger our collective voice becomes. Let's stand together, united in our resolve to safeguard the rights and well-being of parents and make a lasting difference in our community. Together, we can drive change and shape a better future for all parents. Take action today and be the catalyst for progress!
