Amy Bohn

co-founder & President

Amy Bohn is the co-founder and President of PERK, Protection of the Educational Rights of Kids. Founded in 2019, PERK is a bi-partisan, non-profit that advocates for civil rights and freedoms, with particular focus on protecting children.

PERK represents tens of thousands of parents and children across the state. PERK meets with legislators, lawyers, schools, school boards, Board of Supervisors, Superintendents, and more, advocating on important issues impacting families and children. PERK is currently focused on Stopping the Mandates and Litigation protecting citizens across CA. Educating people on their Right to Refuse and their own power to take effective and decisive action.

As an activist leader, Amy speaks across the state on these issues encouraging and teaching people how to protect their children, and families.

Darrlene Alquiza

co-founder & Director of Education and Advocacy

Darrlene Alquiza is a co-founder and serves as Director of Education and Advocacy. She has a Science degree in Child and Adolescent Development with a special interest in research methodology and a Master’s degree in Human Development. Darrlene has over 20 years of experience in the field of education. Darrlene understands the needs and concerns of children and families, and she has a passion for sharing information and advocating on behalf of the children.

Kris Dukes

Co-Founder & Director of Outreach

Kris Dukes is one of the co-founders of PERK and serves as the outreach director. She is a California native and the mother of two children. She graduated from Cal State Northridge with a degree in Sports Medicine and Kinesiology. Later, she enjoyed a successful career in the television and film industry.

The introduction of SB 277 in California prompted her involvement on the political side of rights for vaccine injured children to retain the right to an education. It has become her mission to fight for parental rights and informed consent. She has been proactively bringing groups from different regions of California together to use their voice to help make a change in public policy for a better California.
